re- composters, ‘tumblers’ are great if you’re space limited, or if you dont want the exercise of turning your compost every other day or so, or if your waste is limited. i have so much waste due the large number of trees on my residence and gardens, i built up, i seldom have less than 1 tonne of compost in the works. plus composting on the ground allow the worms to finish the compost and add really rich castings something you dont get in a tumbler, bug excrement.
i have alway believed in ’small homes’ big yard, and i partnered with a fellow scietist to start farming/orchard work commercially 20+ years ago. We never took ‘profit’ out of the farm/orchard but always bought/leased with option to buy more land. Now with 25 % unemployment his ‘kids’ will have a future as farmers, despite getting graduat degrees. The jobs are not there anymore even in science and the J bankers have cut back on capital accross all sectors of the usa economy to force busienss to go go china/india.
i dont have any kids, so his kids will get the farm as we had the foresight to see what was going on, and to be frank its nice to see white people working the land and not only the poor mexicans working for big agribusiness or the prisoners they jack to work other peoples farm to stay ahead of the ’slave’ farmers’ we had to invent and build quite a bit of our own equipment and growing methods. imagine having to compete with large zio-agri businesses using subsidized state labor or mexicans who will work for nothing.
. i built all my gardens and garden structures up myself and we have enormous amounts of sweat equity in the farm/ranch. that said obama could seize it and there has been much legislation to kill the small organic farmer by congress. maybe we should have gone underground and just grown pot..LOL we had a free reign in ca to grown blueberries, now there is a government commission and a ‘tax’ coming and a guy we the taxpayers pay for a useless government blood sucking parasite looking to sieze our land coming out to ‘inspect’ our plants.

Well we calmly walked around the corner, then we ran like hell.
